Greg Williamson is a globally-recognized Chief Investment Officer, risk manager, and investment organizational strategist with 35 years of experience in the global investment arena.

Mr. Williamson is the current Head of Strategy for Pluribus Labs, an investment management company which employs novel applications of cutting-edge data science techniques and a unique exposure-driven investment approach to the markets to deliver diversifying, value-additive performance. Pluribus Labs is a permanent Golden Gate Capital portfolio company, with whom it shares a pedigree of innovation and performance in investment management.

Prior to Pluribus Labs, Mr. Williamson was the Chief Investment Officer of The American Red Cross, where he oversaw $5.5 billion in Endowment, Liquidity, Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution plan assets.

Mr. Williamson was named Institutional Investor’s “Turnaround of the Year” in 2017 for his successful efforts in restructuring the investments, risk management, technology, operations and governance of The American Red Cross portfolios.

Prior to joining the Red Cross in 2015, Mr. Williamson was CIO and Director, Trust Investments for BP America Inc. ($18.0 billion in pension, savings and foundation/other assets in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Latin and South America), a position he held for 25 years.

Mr. Williamson was a member of the BP America, BP Canada and BP Mexico Investment Committees, and helped create and operate BP PLC’s oversight organization for its global investment assets.

Mr. Williamson held previous roles at Springfield Asset Management (President), Northern Continent (Vice President, Investment Banking), F.P. Quinn and Co. (Director, Risk Arbitrage), O’Connor and Associates (proprietary trading, strategic planning), and Peterson & Co. (consulting).

Mr. Williamson holds an MBA with honors from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a B.A. in Economics with honors from Northwestern University.

Mr. Williamson is a Board Member and Investment Committee Chairman of the Terra Foundation for American Art, and is a member of the Economics Club of Chicago, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the World Economic Forum, and the Milken Institute’s Global Investment and Finance Committee.

Previously, Mr. Williamson served on the Investor’s Committee of The President’s Working Group on Financial Markets under Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson. Mr. Williamson was a member of the Risk Standards for Institutional Investors and Investment Managers committee.

Mr. Williamson has been named “Corporate Plan CIO of the Year” by both aiCIO and Institutional Investor, and is regularly included in the global listing of “Top 100 Chief Investment Officers”.
